About the Event
To hear the words "your child has cancer", is every parent's worst nightmare. This is the nightmare we found ourselves in on the 1st July 2021 when our lives were turned upside down.
Our gorgeous little boy Ethan, age 3, was diagnosed with a Wilm's Tumour, a rare form of childhood cancer. Following an intensive regime of hospital visits, chemotherapy and major surgery to remove the tumour and kidney that it was encapsulated in, Ethan has been a little superstar throughout. Taking everything in his stride, he has given us the strength needed on this highly emotional journey. Since the operation, we know that the path ahead will be bumpy but our quest for a cure and Ethan to have a long, happy and healthy future remains strong.
We are incredibly proud of Ethan and so very thankful to the staff at both Queen Alexandra and Southampton General who have shown so much support, kindness and medical talent in looking after our beautiful brown eyed boy.
